1. Brief introduction:

Railway sulfuric acid tank wagon is a type of corrosive liquid tank car specifically used for transporting concentrated sulfuric acid (usually 93%~ 98% concentrations). Its design meets the requirements of strong corrosiveness, high density, and safe transportation of sulfuric acid.

GS68 broad gauge sulfuric acid tank wagon is designed specifically for CIS countries and is used for sulfuric acid tanker operation on 1520mm gauge lines. Its braking system and coupler system are compatible with the customer's existing GOST system for locomotives and vehicles. The railway tank truck adopts top loading and top unloading operation method.

3. Main structures:

The tank wagon is mainly composed of components such as chassis, tank body, side ladder and roof walkway assembly, tank to chassis assembly, braking device, coupler buffer device, bogie, etc. The main bearing structure is Q450NQR1 high-strength weathering steel.

(1) Under frame

The under frame mainly consists of a center beam, a pillow beam, a crossbeam, a stop device, an upper side bearing, a foot pedal, an end beam, a side beam, and so on. Adopting a full-length middle and side beam structure, the middle beam material is made of hot-rolled 310 I-shaped steel with a yield strength of 450MPa; The side beams are made of atmospheric corrosion resistant steel with a groove structure; The pillow beam is welded with upper and lower cover plates and double web plates to form a variable cross-section box structure; The bottom frame is equipped with stop devices at both ends, providing bidirectional protection for the tank body.


(2) Tank assembly

The tank body is mainly composed of a head, a cylinder, a manhole, a suction pipe, an inlet pipe, an acid resistant guide plate, an upper saddle, a liquid collection groove, etc. The cylinder is a cylindrical fully welded steel structure with an inner diameter of φ 2200mm. A 500mm diameter manhole is installed at the top of the tank. Install suction pipes, inlet pipes, etc. on the top of the tank. Install acid proof deflectors on both sides of the tank. Set up a liquid trap at the bottom of the tank.
The tank material shall be acid resistant stainless steel, and components such as valves and pipelines shall be made of Hastelloy alloy.


(3) Side ladder and tank platform
Adopting a side ladder structure, the tank top is equipped with a workbench and protective railings.

(4) Tank and chassis connection
The tank and the chassis are combined and connected by a clamp belt set at the sleeper beam and upper and lower saddle bolts set in the middle of the vehicle.


(5) Brake device

The braking device includes air braking device and hand braking device.
The air braking device mainly consists of 483A-04 air distribution valve, 265A-4 automatic empty and load regulating valve, 710mm-759mm brake hose connector, 78L air reservoir, 356 × 254 brake cylinders and 675 М two-way brake shoes clearance auto adjuster, etc. It adopts cut off cock, angle cock, and pipe joint without thread connection. The brake pipe complies with GB/T14976, the main pipe is DN32, and other branch pipes are DN20. Derailment auto brake device is adopted.
The hand brake device adopts the worm hand brake conforming to the Russian operating habits.


(6) Coupler buffer device

The coupler buffer device is equipped with a lower anti falling structure СА- 3 Coupler, matched by coupler yoke and coupler pin. The coupler contour shall conform to гост 21447-75 and the coupler meets гост 22703-91 standard. The coupler is equipped with reset towing beam and support lift plate, etc. The draft gear adopts Russian T1 large capacity buffer.


(7) Broad gauge bogie
It adopts broad gauge 1520mm bogie developed by ourselves. The bogie adopts two-stage stiffness springs. Lower center plate’s diameter is φ 355mm, equipped with conductive core plate wear plate. The bearing is 353130B compact bearing complies with document [2006] No. 21 of the transportation and loading truck. The axle adopts LZ50 steel. The φ957mm wheels comply with grade 3 of GOST10791-2011 standard. The basic braking device adopts austenitic bainite ductile iron lining and combined braking beam.
