Empty and Load Adjust Valve Automatic Variable Load Adjusting Device Railway Wagons

1. Brief introductions:

The KZW-A valve is designed to automatically detect and adjust the pressure in the brake cylinders based on the changing weights of freight wagons on the railway. This feature enhances the braking efficiency of trains, minimizes the fluctuations in braking rates as the load shifts from empty to full, and ensures a more consistent braking response across all wagons in the train.

How does it function?

As the loads on freight wagon change, the deflection of the bogie springs adjusts as well. A load adjustment device sensor is fixed onto the bogie, allowing the regulating springs to detect any changes in load. The basic operation involves balancing the air pressure from the pressure-reducing air cylinder and the pressure of the regulating spring with the brake cylinder's pressure. This system accordingly distributes the air pressure from both the pressure-reducing cylinder and the brake cylinder, enabling automatic adjustments of the brake cylinder pressure. There are three main functions: braking, releasing, and displaying the status.

The KZW-A device for automatically adjusting variable loads has two main components: the weighing system and the pressure control valve assembly. The weighing system includes a sensor along with a suppression plate. There are two types of sensors available: one type, a C-A sensing valve, has a maximum stroke of 21 mm, while the other type can extend up to 27 mm. The pressure control valve is made up of a pressure limiting valve and a pipe seat.
