1. Brief introduction:

As the core component of railway freight car bogies, the bolster spring absorbs wheel rail vibration impact through vertical elastic deformation and undertakes the function of vehicle load transmission. Its structure often adopts a combination of double coil circular springs, and millimeter level precision detection and sorting are achieved through an intelligent selection system.


2. The two main functions of bolster springs are:


  • When the locomotive and vehicle pass through the uneven line or vibration and impact occur due to wheel set defects, it can alleviate the impact and attenuate the vibration;
  • Make the weight distribution between the wheel sets of the same bogie appropriate, so that the wheel load of each wheel set will not vary too much under various line conditions.
