The railway center plate is installed between the chassis and the bogie, responsible for transmitting the weight of the wagon body to the bogie, and at the same time, transmitting the longitudinal force between the body and the bogie during vehicle traction and braking. Structurally, the railway vehicle center plate is still the center of rotation between the body and the bogie, making it easier for the vehicle to pass through curves. The wear disc of the center plate is installed between the upper and lower heart plates to make the load distribution of the center plate more uniform and reduce the wear of the upper and lower heart plates.
The lower center plate is secured to the bogie using bolts and nuts or is directly cast onto the bolster. Positioned between the upper and lower center plates is a part designed for wear, known as the center plate wear disc. This disc is crafted from oil-filled nylon. Together, the upper center plate, wear disc, and lower center plate are connected by a pivot pin, which links the car body to the bogie.
According to AAR M201 standards or Chinese steel regulations, the center plate is constructed from steel. It is created through either casting or forging methods. We are capable of designing and producing a variety of center plates for railway wagons, tailored to meet specific customer needs and railway standards.
