The TWG series empty/load valve is designed to work with the Chinese TB standard air brake system. Its main function is to regulate the brake cylinder pressure depending on whether the freight wagons are loaded or empty.
This TWG series consists of two key components: the T-type adjustment valve and the WG-type sensor. The T-type adjustment valve is installed in the pipes that connect the 120 valve or GK valve to the brake cylinder. Meanwhile, the WG-type sensor is placed on the bogie, with its support secured to either the cross beam or the side frame. All other braking components, including the control valve, auxiliary air cylinder, pressure-reducing chamber, and brake cylinder, remain unchanged and are located in the same positions as in the original brake system.
(1) A new, reliable weighing system has been introduced, where the sensing valve detects changes in the pillow spring's deflection during braking and effectively responds to vehicle vibrations. When released, the contact rod retracts, leading to less wear and a longer lifespan.
(2) The initial double membrane plate design has been utilized for its strong versatility and adaptability, allowing the adjustment of both empty and loaded pressures over a wide range to meet various vehicle requirements.
(3) This system is compatible with main brakes like the 120 and GK types, offering a seamless automatic adjustment feature for empty and loaded states while keeping the original brake performance intact.
(4) The maximum brake cylinder pressures for both empty and loaded scenarios can be set across a broad range, depending on factors such as tonnage, speed, and the friction characteristics of high-friction synthetic brake shoes. It is compatible with cylinder sizes like φ 356mm × 254mm and φ 254mm × 254mm.
(5) Whether the vehicle is empty or loaded, the device consistently shows a noticeable and stable initial increase in brake cylinder pressure.
(6) The device's design incorporates advanced structures, modern materials, and the latest technologies, including features like anti-loose nuts, wear-resistant polymer materials, and multi-gas penetration surface treatments.
