1. Brief introduction

The K6 bogie serves as the primary bogie designed for a 25-ton axle load, accommodating the increased speeds and heavy loads associated with China Railway. It's suitable for various types of freight wagons, including general gondolas, box cars, flat cars, and tank cars, as well as specialized freight wagons with a 25-ton axle load.
Testing and numerous dynamic evaluations demonstrate that the K6 bogie significantly minimizes wheel and rail wear on heavy haul trains, leading to lower operational costs for heavy cargo transportation. It effectively dampens high-frequency vibrations between the wheel and rail, enhances the vehicle's vertical dynamics, and boosts overall stability during operation. This bogie is crucial for freight wagons that carry loads of 70 tons and above in China.

2. Main features:

• Cast steel three-piece wagon bogie
• Two suspension damping system: primary suspension adopts axle box elastic shear pad; secondary suspension adopts central bolster spring suspension system with variable friction damping device;
•  Bolster spring adopt two grades’ stiffness springs;
• Adopt elastic lower cross support device to fasten the two side frames;
• Center plates connecting under frame and bogies;
• Lower center plate equipped with oil-bearing nylon wear disc;
• Double acting double row tapered roller bearings;
•  Light new structure HEZB cast steel wheels or HESA rolling steel wheels;
• Adopt pull rod type single side brake shoes braking, L-A or L-B combined brake beams assembly and high friction composition brake shoes;
